FIRSTLY, I must start off by saying my girl ROCKS!! she found out my favorite new band, BAND OF SKULLS, were playing in LA and snatched up some tickets! Of course me being annoying inquisitive, I totally guested my surprise beforehand (I had to! its very hard to dress for a surprise you know!) So I spent the whole day banging out their album in readiness for my evening of es tasty and estasty it was!
Out of Southampton, Bass Player Emma Richardson, Guitarist Russell Marsden and Drummer Matthew Hayward were truly magnificent, Russell needs a special mention as I have to say he's one of the best axeman I've seen in many many years, a stunning player, he's got it all, sound, touch, melody and most of all feel, a beautiful player that I could watch till the cows come home, make coco and curl up in a bed of hay and cacofiny of farts.
Bass player Emma is solid as a rock, a Kilimanjaro size of piece of granite in fact. I thought my bass player was cool but this girl is ice-tastic, can I say a 21st century Chrissie Hynde?, all black, all legs, killer-stare and with a clear calm distinctive voice, I love her. Extra special mention also goes to drummer Matthew, he plays drums like he has a personal vendetta against them and as he sips blood red wine between tracks, he get meaner and more hateful towards them, muttering letting them know who's the fucking boss on this stage baby, and just when you thought he's avenged his demons he whips out a guitar and delicately strums it like its his firstborn. A very talented threesome indeed, and as a band they just fit, it works, they gel and sound absolutely fucking incredible. American radio are beginning to love them but lets hope we get a chance to love them in the UK too, either way I truly hope this band get the adoration, love and respect they truly truly deserve cos they're one of the best bands to come out of the UK in a very long time.
You know I hate be a total bitch but after Ms Burke ruination of one of my favorite songs of all time last year,
XFACTOR HAS TO PAY!!!!
Don't buy that nasty single from that insipid boy who probably won't earn a single penny from it! Make a stand! buy 'Killing In The Name Of' by Rage! All the cash goes to charity and we get to hear a million bleeps on the christmas radio one chart!! RESULT!
go to itunes, do it now so it counts in the chart, spread the word!!!!
YES WE CAN!!!!

...how not to get a HUGE data roaming bill on my new iphone whilst abroad.
The reason I got a £900 (I still can't quite believe it!) O2 bill is all down to frickin mobile.me which I discovered downloads every 15mins for 24hrs a day!! This is how it 'magically' keeps all your stuff on the computer up to date with all your stuff on the iphone, this is why if you lose your iphone you can send it a message, change the pin code or erase it, because its constanlty downloading to it.
So if you too are having to get an £80 pr month 'bolt on' just so you can keep that lovely data roaming setting in the ON position this is how to avoid all that nonsense.
go into the fetch new data page and turn 'PUSH' off
turn fetch to MANUALLY also,
scroll down tap ADVANCED
tap all settings to MANUAL
go back to mail, contact, calenders and turn FETCH NEW DATA off
All this stops it constantly downloading without turning off data roaming whislt abroad, then you can choose when to download your emails by going into emails and tapping on the refresh button. Mine does it automatically the minute I go into 'mail'.
Of course the other solution is to turn off data roaming off whislt abroad but if you travel as much as I do that becomes a real pain, this way works better.
Ok, I know Jurlique has been around for a while but this blog's only a month old so shut it! This face mask is so calming and soothing and I love it! The lip stuff is rubbish though, it just dried mine out which is annoying when you have as much lip as I do! ;-)
I also love the bodywash and the body moisteriuer would replace my Clarin's moisture rich if it didn't last five mins and come in one of those silly pump containers (travellers exspect bag explosion every time!)
I do love the fact that its 100% natural and organic which makes my enviromentalist girlfriend extremly happy (and me too cos it make me very kissable), its good stuff, get it at Wholefoods.
Bit too much of a huge canvernous barn for a me, too many bright blinding stage lights, I prefer nightclubs with proper DJ booths where you can see what those cheeky punters are doing whilst you're mixing upa storm! BUT the organisers were lovely and the people were amazing and well made up for the high ceiling!
What about this girl...does her mother know she jumped on my stage for a bit o' drunken go-go dancing!! go girl!! hehe!

I've know this unbrideled talent for quite a few years, we met when I did a campaign in Italy for Gianfranco Ferre. We hit it off and are now firm friends, he's my Etalian 'usban and i'm his fish & Chips wife! I've been wearing his wonderful pieces at such places as 2009 White Tie and Tiara party, GQ men of the year awards and Italian Xfactor, every time i feel like a zillion dollars!
HERE for the first time are his design, they are fresh, contemopary and beatuifully made! definatly my designer of the year!
THIS IS MY BAND OF THE YEAR! ok that do sound a little like Led Zepellin's bitch but if ya looking for Killa riffs, great rocking choruses and a seriously lovely looking ice-cool bass-player BAND OF SKULLS is ya biscuit, check 'em out!

The tour is over, the dust is ready to fall on sequined skinsuits, the firejacket is packed away, all the guitars gone, yes Skunk Ananasie are officially on holiday, knackered, breathless, sweated out like two lovers splayed across the bed in post tourmatic glee.
It was a great tour, we sold out every night, its true to say it was exhausting, we had no trickery, it was just four people rocking out onstage using pure emotion and the chemistry they were lucky enough to claim from the phoenix ashes, raw, untreated and absolutely fucking amazing.
We love being is this band, its ours, no one can touch it, no one can touch us. So now its time to rest and repair ourselves for a new album, a new begining and a fantastic year in the making.
Next week I'll be in Los Angeles so this blog is about to get a whole lot sunnier, so I'm gonna enjoy christmasy freezing cold London while I've got it and try and get some xmas shopping in, they may have all the sun, but we have all the labels!

Beyonce and Lady Gaga rock out in this big phat slobbering dirty R&B fatty from the hip-flip queen herself! Expect loads of jerking, wineing up of waists and tits that get jerked up so hard you think they might fly off and hit you in the eye. Thank god the suspenders only have a couple of short airings! I just think they're tarty...but not in a good way!
Gaga does look alot like Beyounce's skinny white trailer trash cousin from Arkansas but she really has a bash at all those dislocating hip movements and keeps herself low and in the forefront and so avoiding concussion from Beyounce's tidal weave! All in all, this is a smasharoonie from the comic book intro to the water gun M16 firing on the back of a Harley (oh yes she did!)
A Fantastic video, Kanya West should be very proud!

It must be said the cheesy chicken wing dance did wanna make me cut his toes off. His dress sense ocassionally erred on the side of visual sucide one too many times it can also be said. Album one from Mr Penate was all a bit too freckin happy happy for me, esp when you heard those singles over and over and over and over again, although I was happy for him, I liked his face, indeed I confess I liked, not loved, his oh-so-indie tunes, the man definately knew how to write a corker which always warms my stone cold bleeding heart.
Then ‘Today’s Tonight’ shook me, Everything was new! I loved every note of this glorious album from start to finish. Shimmering African inspired guitars, undulating sexy salsa beat sprinkled with plentiful, beautifully memorable hooks and lovely lucious lyrics, the whole feel of it, inspired me and I’ve yet to find an album this year that I love more.
I’m also lovin’ his gruff grown up scraggy suited trobadour look, he’s grown into a gorgeous man, sexy in a ‘I’m a bit interested but really can’t be arsed’ way’ which is always best doncha think?
There have been many albums worthy of my adoration this year, Band of Skulls, Biffy Cyro, Florence, Fleet Foxes, Gul Boratto, Karima Francis, all rocked my gin palace, but Jack Penate’s Everything Is New is my album of the year because shows an artist of quality not afraid to move on a develop himself away from what made him succesful, this is not an album of change for change’s sake but an inspired stunning movement on from a very well recieved start. This album is very enjoyable to me, I love listening to it, a stunning piece of music produced by a man not afraid to climb out of a pool filled with his own hype.

Dave Gohl(Foo Fighters) Josh Homme(Queens of the stone age), John Paul Jones (Led Zepellin), ALL IN ONE BAND! Now thats just greedy innit!, its enough to make you just say fuck it and throw in the towel.... but hold on a minute, like Real Madrid, just cos you got the best players, doesnt mean all you gotta do it put ya boots on!
"Supergroups" can be a recipe for disaster, I mean, thats alot ego in a small room for a very long time, someone's gotta suck it up and bend over and someone's gotta jump on a chair with a megaphone. In this case, Josh Homme defo had the keys to the ball clamps cos this album is classic Q.O.T.S. from top to bottom. The feel is rootsier, warmer, bit more earthy than your usual homme offering, John Paul Jones musta pulled rank at some point then, but if your a Q.O.T.S. fan you'll love it!
I admit my hooky little pop ears could have done with a bit more to hold on to, killer riffs begging in the gutter to become glorious pop songs sung by village idiots in karoke heaven, litter the floor of every track, grasping, desperate to have more than 10 seconds of airtime, yes it does get a little prog-rock, but I still love it.
This music makes me feel romantic, I have this beautiful vision of a bunch of likeminded friends getting together, having fun making great music and not really giving a fuck where it goes. You get such a strong sense that these are proper muscians who just love their chosen craft and wanna put some quality material into cyberspace to inspire, to influence and to generate greatness in others.
This is high quality, lovely rich succulent music made by people who love music, for people who love music, real music that moves the soul, evokes emotion and means something to anyone with real ears.
This is not an album of top ten corkers, its not an album for radio at all but a simply great sounding, well made piece of top grade shit, made by guys who really by now know what the hell their doing and I must say, doing it very well indeed.
I've also put my orders in for some stunning Hannah Marshall pieces.
I first wore her clothes last year to Salma Hayak's wedding in Venice, I can't tell you how many people asked me who my dress was by! It was a sensation and I felt red hot in it!
