This is a must see life changing movie.
Its a long time since a film has actually truly moved me to my core but this film does it. Whatever you are doing, wherever you are in life you HAVE to see this movie. Adapted from the novel 'Push' by sapphire it follows the life and times of Claireece 'Precious' Jones a 16 yr girl who's been abused by her father. Now that may sound incredibly depressing and it was true to say my tears did roll on more than one occasion BUT this is perfectly balanced against some hilarious moments, the casting is genius, the banter between her class mates is inspired and the filming magnificent. We live in horribly shallow times so its wonderful to see something with depth, beauty and heart.
Do yourself a favour, go see this film, you'll never regret it.

ReplyDeleteThe mother is such a horrible evil person, I dont know if we were supposed to feel a bit of compassion at the end of the time, but I certainly didn't.
I love the bit where Precious pinches chicken from the fast food place hahahaha
